3 Southmoreland students honored for academic achievement

Southmoreland is honored to have three students who were recognized in Trib Total Media’s 2010 Outstanding Young Citizen program. They are Ryan P. Amdy, Ashley Wiltrout and Rachel Zaffina. The awards recognize outstanding achievements in academics, community service and extracurricular activities. Parents, school administrators and friends nominated these students. Scottdale wishes all of you the best of everything in your future and God bless you.

If you are a member of the Huntingdon Grade School Class of 1975, its 35th class reunion will be held at the Bullskin Township Senior Citizens Club. Reservations are due Friday; call 724-887-7586 for more information.

A big thank you to Carson’s Premier Catering for the recent Easter raffle held to raise money for the Scottdale Volunteer Fire Department.

Scottdale and the Regional Family YMCA gives a big thanks to Russ Grimm, who was host of the 20th celebrity golf outing which was held the beginning of the month. This event will help with funding to help children participate in YMCA activities.
