In September of 2018, the Smart Growth Partnership shepherded a collaboration among leaders of Voice of Westmoreland, Greensburg-Hempfield Public Library, Penn State Extension, Penn State Master Gardeners, City of Greensburg, Greensburg Park and Recreation, Excela Health, and the local neighborhood residents during a Better Parks event.
The Greensburg Better Parks event focused on Spring Avenue and Grove Street underutilized parks to envision and demonstrate potential new uses and design retrofits.
